Using Learning Outcome Measures to assess Doctoral - JoVE

Assessing learning outcomes is an ongoing process at American Public University System which involves all members of our community. Continuous assessment activities allow us to identify what our students are learning and enables us to improve the student learning environment through our courses and academic programs. An outcomes-based learning approach aligns well with the QFEmirates and with the three components of the effective pedagogy identified by Barkley and Major (2016). OBL approaches at institutional, program and course levels often have different, albeit interconnected, goals.
